SCM: Part of a global movement
[Edited and shortened for clarity]

The co-operative concept was first introduced in Singapore in 1925 with the formation of the first thrift and loan society. Today, nearly 76 co-ops, including 22 credit co-ops, are thriving in Singapore.

At the World Council of Credit Unions, we are proud to have the Singapore National Co-operative Federation as one of our long-standing members. You are part of a global movement that includes over 82,000 financial institutions serving more than 400 million members worldwide.

On behalf of the World Council of Credit Unions, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations and wish you a very happy 100th anniversary in 2025. We are excited to continue working alongside you to serve your members in the next century.
