Emerging Leaders Programme for the Singapore Co-operative Movement (ELP)

The Emerging Leaders Programme is designed for aspiring leaders of your co-operative to participate in exposure programmes that groom leaders to be empowered to contribute back to your co-operative. The programme includes a fruitful 3D2N Leadership Camp overseas from 21-23 Feb 2025, and a group project to tackle common key challenges faced by co-ops.

  • Solve Common challenges: Collaborate and learn from other co-ops’ success stories and tried methods in tackling common challenges
  • Drive Innovation: Learn to propel change by utilizing the Problem Definition Template (PDT), Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach, and the SCAMPER Framework
  • Get opportunities to learn from international co-ops: Be exposed to the international co-operative community and learn from peers all over the world
  • Develop Personal and Team Resilience and Growth: Enhance self-awareness, resilience, and adaptability for you and your team members to thrive in dynamic environments

  • Generously Funded: The cost of the programme is fully funded at $7,000 per leader. Your co-op only needs to pledge a $1,000 completion incentive to your emerging leader

Tools/Frameworks

  • Lego Serious Play (LSP): Visualization tool for leadership scenarios that encourages creative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Problem-Based Learning (PBL): Real-world problem-solving framework to apply knowledge in practical scenarios, enhancing the ability to tackle real-world leadership challenges.
  • Problem Definition Template (PDT): A systematic approach to break down complex problems into manageable components and generate actionable solutions.
  • DISC Personality Test: A widely used tool for understanding personal and team dynamics so that leaders can tailor their communication and leadership styles to effectively motivate and engage team members.
Time Commitment
You must be able to attend a 3D2N leadership camp on 21 - 23 February 2025.
From March to June, you work with other co-operators (online or meetups) at your own time to work on a mini group project. You also get to attend key conferences for more exposure and networking opportunities!

Who we are

SNCF is the apex body of Singapore’s Co-operative Movement, and secretariat of the Central Co-operative Fund (CCF). Formed in 1980 with the aim of championing Singapore’s Co-operative Movement, the apex body represents majority of co-operative members in Singapore through its affiliated co-operatives.
