As more organisations look to incorporate sustainability practice into their corporate DNA, many have started appointing sustainability stewards into their organisations. Tasked to oversee activities and projects that reducing environmental impacts as well as applying sustainability practices into both future and on-going projects, these officers are crucial in helping organisation play its part in fufilling their green ambitions.
As it turns out, SNCF's former chairperson Chan Tee Seng was also recently appointed as FairPrice Group's first Chief Sustainability Officer. Chan, who has held several leadership roles across NTUC and NTUC Enterprise, will be looking to develop and execute sustainability initiatives across the group.
