To lift the spirits of co-operatives (co-ops) providing essential services during this Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), SNCF sent them care packages containing snacks and chrysanthemum tea bought from NTUC FairPrice Co-operative. Each package also contained an encouraging note.

Since Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), our co-ops have been working tirelessly on the frontlines to serve members and public. From co-ops providing healthcare services like NTUC Health and GP+ to co-ops providing security and safety services such as Premier Security and Co-operative of SCDF Employees (COSEM), these co-ops play a pivotal role in supporting the nation’s fight during the pandemic.

We also have co-ops supporting its community and their families in adjusting to new restrictions like Industrial & Services Co-op Society (ISCOS) and NTUC First Campus. Credit co-ops, such as Citiport and The Singapore Police Co-op Society, continue to  serve their members’ financial needs.

Through the packages, SNCF aimed to provide support to those co-ops in the frontline. "We want them to know we stand together with them," said SNCF Chairman Mr Tng Ah Yiam.

Daniel Chua from NTUC First Campus Co-op was appreciative of the effort. He said, “Thank you. It is very thoughtful of the SNCF team to send the care package. Take care and stay safe”.

Thank you to co-operatives for your work. Together, we can get through this and emerge stronger together!
